Our Mission

Since 1994, we've devoted ourselves to living up to the two missions of the Westlake Village Disaster Response Team (WLVDRT):

1.  Provide community disaster preparedness education.

This is accomplished through the WLVDRT basic training classes.  Citizens who attend the basic training, in whole or in part, are encouraged to use the knowledge that they gain to better prepare themselves, their families, and their businesses for a potential disaster.  It is hoped that for every person who attends this training that will be at least one less victim that will need aid during a disaster.

2.  Recruit, equip, and maintain a well-trained citizen response team.
